Wish I was on a mountain high Watching the eagle as she flies Wish I could sit and dream awhile And spend some time in my homeland So many places I can't recall There's been so many I've seen them all But through the years I've come to know My heart belongs in my homeland I've seen the bright lights the neon signs Spent loving nights sipping ruby red wine Made a thousand friends along the way But now I long to be in my homeland Wish I was on a mountain high Watching the eagle as she flies Wish I could sit and dream awhile And spend some time in my homeland   Isla Grant / My Homeland                 산 위에 높이 있고 싶었네 날아가는 독수리를 바라보면서 잠깐 앉아 꿈이라도 꾸어 잠시나마 조국에 머무르고 싶네 그 많은 곳 다 기억할 수 없어도 나는 수많은 곳 모두 다 둘러 보았지 하지만 오랜 세월이 지난 후 난 알게 되었네 내 마음은 조국에 있다는 것을 네온사인의 화려한 불꽃들 난 많이 보았고 심홍색 적포도주를 마시며 사랑스런 밤들을 보내었다네 살아가면서 수많은 친구를 사귀었지만 난 지금은 내 조국에 가고 싶네 산 위에 높이 있고 싶었네 날아가는 독수리를 바라보면서 잠깐 앉아 꿈이라도 꾸어 잠시나마 조국에 머무르고 싶네
